Jenny Chung Biography
Jenny Chung is an artist, illustrator, and toy designer born in South Korea in 1981. She was raised in Vancouver, Canada where she discovered her passion for art and later moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. After graduating from Otis College of Art and Design, she worked at Disney Consumer Products as a design supervisor in the Girls Toys department for 4 years, working on a variety of toys, including Disney Princesses and Hannah Montana dolls.
In 2009, Jenny illustrated Disney Princesses in her own style, and they were published in “The Art of Disney Princess” book. Her “Pop Snow White” piece from the book has been extremely popular and was made into prints and t-shirts. She has since created more artwork based on Disney Princesses following the style of “Pop Snow White”.
Jenny also designed the “Lilo Cosplay Stitch” vinyl figure for Mindstyle and Disney’s Stitch Experiment 626 Artist Series, and her design was selected as the limited edition toy for the D23 Expo exclusive in 2009.
Jenny now resides in Seoul, Korea and works as a freelance designer, working on various projects ranging from toy design, fashion illustrations, and vinyl toy collectibles. She believes that art is a way to express who she is and she wants to bring joy and inspiration to others through her art.
